<<In 1994, at the age of 26, Philippe Croizon was the victim of a tragic accident. As he was changing a TV antenna up on his roof, he got shocked with a 20,000 volt electrical charge. Several months of hospitalization and over a hundred hours of operations later, he found himself stuck in a wheelchair with both his arms and legs amputated.
Philippe decided to overcome his terrible handicap and began racking up the challenges: he learned to walk again with artificial limbs, took up scuba-diving and parachuting. Then on September 18, 2010, at the age of 42, he accomplished something unheard of: he swam across the English Channel. The news spread instantly around the world and at 42, he began a new life as a public figure: a shining example of bravery and self-will. Philippe happily accepted his fame. He didn't only swim the Channel for himself, but also for all those he calls his comrades in misfortune.
But Philippe Croizon is a man who likes challenges. No question of stopping halfway. Just a few months after swimming across the English Channel, he decided, along with his sidekick and friend Arnaud Chassery, to take on a new adventure: connecting 5 continents with 4 swims>>
