Filter photography is a valid way to get back color into your pictures when using a flash is not an option or when shooting too wide for your flash.
There are several options in the market for point and shoot cameras and you can google your camera model to find suitable manufacturers. Sony is making its own line of (rather expensive, but effective filters).
An other option is this:

Make sure that you are buying "wet" filters and not "GEL" as these have to be placed inside the housing and most point and shoot cameras can not take them. Wet filters are attached on the outside of the lens on top of the housing and can be removed for close-up / macro photos or when your flash can cover you.
You need to remember the following for best use:
a. Best results are achieved up to 15 meters. Optimum between 6-10m
b. it is best that you shoot with the sun on your back
c. use RAW if this is an option to work with white balance in post-processing
As far as JPG editing in photoshop (or similar) is concerned, we are planning to make a small introduction in photo editing at Tethys as soon as we are back from our vacations!
Some nice photos in your gallery by the way!
