Αποστολή στο Βρεταννικό

Τι να πει κανεις?
Ειναι κριμα να χανονται τοσο εμπειροι δυτες και εξερευνητες.
Θα πρεπει να μαθουν τι εγινε για να προσφερθει γνωση στους επομενους.
Η εξερευνηση δεν θα σταματησει ποτε - ειναι στη φυση του ανθρωπου να θετει νεα ορια.
Επισης οσο ο ανθρωπος ψαχνει τα ορια του θα συμβαινουν παντα ατυχηματα.
Θα πρεπει να ζησουμε με αυτο (και να το αποδεχτουμε)

υ.γ. ολο αυτο που γινεται με τον Βρεττανικο δεν ξερω που θα καταληξει, αλλα μακαρι αυτο το ναυαγιο να μην συνδεσει το ονομα του με καταδυτικα ατυχηματα.
Ας ειναι το τελευταιο θυμα ο Spencer.

Δηλώνω εξ αρχής ότι δεν έχω καμια γνώση για τα rebreathers και ούτε φυσικά για καταδύσεις σ' αυτά τα βάθη.
Απλώς καταθέτω μια παρατήρησή μου, έχοντας στο μυαλό μου ένα προηγούμενο ποστ του Νεοκλή:

H κατάδυση σε αυτά τα βάθη είναι ένα βήμα πέρα. Ο δύτης σε αυτές τις αποστολές έχει το κίνδυνο του εξερευνητη. Όχι μόνο του εξερευνητή ναυαγίων, αλλά και του εξερευνητή της ανθρώπινης φυσιολογίας.

Ψάχνοντας πληροφορίες σχετικά με το ατύχημα, από ένα λινκ στο Abyss διάβασα αυτό :

Παρατηρώντας την πιστοποίηση του rebreather, βλέπω ότι είναι για 100 μέτρα.

Προφανώς, θα υπάρχει κάποια εξήγηση. Θα είχε ενδιαφέρον να την μάθουμε.

Depth Limits: 40m - max. Depth with air diluent.
100m - max. Depth at which all rebreather parameters are proven: CO2 endurance, O2 control and work of breathing.
100m - the limit of the CE approval.
110m - max. Depth at which the work of breathing has been tested using Trimix diluent.
150m - max. Depth at which the work of breathing has been tested with an Heliox diluent.
160m - Depth at which all components are pressure tested during type approval (not during production).

Deeper than 110m: Work of breathing with a Trimix diluent unknown.
Deeper than 130m: Depth gauge inaccurate.
Deeper than 150m: Work of breathing with an Heliox diluent unknown.
Deeper than 160m: Structural integrity of components unknown - the air cavity within the buzzer will implode eventually, and other components may fail.

The latest information is that he was diving his "Boris", not Inspiration.
